First Blastoff Check!

I just got my first Blastoff check today for over $100!    I am excited to see the commissions beginning to roll out!  I am seeing my network grow by hundreds a week now.  I think people are still figuring out how to use their site and save money.  I am also seeing more people signing up from the cards that I am handing out.  Very Excited!

Some of you have seen some changes in your rewards over the last few days – here’s why:

1. We have just reconciled returns and charge backs in preparation for sending out checks.
2. Some of our retail partners have changed their cash back percentages which changed the posted rewards in some of your accounts. We are in the process of adjusting these rewards back to their original amounts.

Here is some good news!

We have decided to accelerate over 80% of our rewards owed. We are also reducing the check minimum amount of $20 down to $2. In addition, we are waiving the postage and handling fee for this round of checks as an early Christmas gift.

I am very excited to see the momentum expanding with our Blastoff business!! We want to share our success with you! We approached a radio broadcast network that owns 6 local radio stations. They saw the vision and signed on with us for Blastoff! We are saw our numbers triple in a matter of days and expect this to explode in a very short time window. We sent the owners and Program directors to this website and it nailed the deal for us!! Now we have someone that will reach the masses. The Slight Edge – A Must Read For Everyone!

There is a great book that I recommend to anyone involved in building a blastoff network.   The Slight Edge by Jeff Olson can be ordered online from any book store or from www.tapesandtools.com .  My favorite story in the book is of the penny.  Would you rather have ONE MILLION DOLLARS cash in hand or a penny that doubles for, let’s say 30 days.  Tomorrow the penny is worth two pennies, and by the tenth day it’s worth $5.00.  Most people choose the million dollars because it’s difficult to see that the penny would, even by doubling, be able to exceed a million dollars in just thirty days.  However, on day 30 the penny is worth over FIVE million dollars!  People that understand the Slight Edge Philosophy just keep building their blastoff networks one person at a time.

Remember all large networks started with just 2-3.  Wal-Mart started with 2-3 stores and now is the largest retailer in the world.  Facebook started with 2-3 people and now has over 300 million users. Farmville a new game on Facebook had 354 users in June of this year and now has over 60 million users and the checks they get are not even real!  Verizon Wireless started with just 2-3 customers and now has over 80 million!  Here is a chart that shows the power of duplication with just a penny in just 30 days!  I hope you enjoy the Slight Edge book!

Take your number off the do not call list!   I love getting calls from sales people.  I always give them my blastoff site and ask them to check it out.  I rarely buy anything from them but many of them have joined my blastoff network.  My blastoff network just went over 8,000!  YEA!

There was a question regarding for-profit companies being blastoff members.  We new they could because obviously Pizza Hut is not a non-profit….  Here is the official response from Blastoff that I received today. 

A “for profit” company would join up the same way a non-profit organization would. The company would need a tax ID # that is appropriate for that company and an email address.  For date of birth, enter a date that is over 18 years old and for name, split the company name into two parts. The rewards check is made out to this name, so make sure the check can be cashed or deposited with this name. Hope this information helps with your question. When you are emailing a group of people always put the contacts in the bcc field This way others don’t see the entire list of who you sent the email to. Also, emailing small groups at a time is better for getting past spam limits.

I went to my room and put my things away and then checked my blastoff Network and she had already signed up! Success is earned in the fear zone not the comfort zone. I just picked up 20 card holders for .99 at Office Max. These are great at convenient stores, nail salons, car washes, resturants, dry cleaners, college book stores, Internet cafes, etc. Just put 400 cards out at a community college parking lot in 30 minutes. If you talk to a person be sure and tell them to watch the videos on the site. Having a Blast!

Anyone in the world 18 years old or older can become a Blastoff member, provided they have a computer with internet access, a valid email address, and a web browser that meets the minimum specifications.  While everyone can enjoy making purchases through their Blastoff shopping portal, only US citizens are currently eligible for Blastoff cash-back rewards on their purchases.  We still invite those outside the US to enjoy all of the other free benefits of Blastoff membership. We are already in the process of being able to provide cash-back rewards to Canadian citizens, and that functionality will be implemented soon. Other countries are in our sights too.

Spent the day in Phoenix today. Wow what a great day. Handed out almost 500 cards. One really effective thing was stopping by convenient stores and asking to leave cards on the counter. You can pick up the plastic card holders at wal-mart. By the time I made it back to my hotel four people had already joined. Having a blast!

Here are three ways to get more blastoff members:

  1. Warm Market The people that you know.  Email them a link to your site, call them, Facebook posts, High touch is best.  Reach out and touch someone!

  2. Handout Blastoff cards  You can hand out 500 cards a day!  Put them everywhere.  Colleges, book stores, fitness centers, convenient stores, fast food, car washes,  internet cafes, counter tops,  Everywhere!  You can order cards at www.blastoffstore.com

  3. Groups.  Blastoff is a great fundraiser, blog posts, college campuses, organizations, pizza places, coffee shops, donut shops, It’s best to get the owner involved and let them promote it to their members.   Give the owner 1000 cards with their domain name on the cards.

I think a modern day gold rush best describes the excitement about blastoff!  The site are working much faster today.  I just uploaded all of my contacts and then went through and selected the top 250.  You will want to monitor this and as people join you can replace those in your invite list.  I was very impressed with how efficient that system worked!  This will be great for new people to launch their business.   Here are a few things that people are doing to get great results: 

  1. Get your contacts loaded in the blastoff invite program

  2. Send out emails to everyone that you know.  We posted a sample email yesterday.  (Be sure and put the contacts in the bcc field)

  3. Post your website on Facebook and any other social network sites.

  4. Post your blastoff info on message boards, blogs and anywhere you can.

  5. Every day I get emails from companies and individuals  I am responding to all of these with a brief statement and a link to my site.

  6. Cards, Cards, Cards – Hand them out to everyone.  Ball games, clubs, college campuses, internet cafes, pizza places.  Sign up the owners and give them 1000 cards. 

  7. Duplicate!  Be sure that everyone in your team knows what to do. 

 Mass exposure = Massive Results!

Hello Blastoff Members,

 Have any of you ever seen a movie where someone hits an oil well that comes in so big that the rig blows and oil spews in the air?  Well that’s what happened today – we hit the mother load.

 At 12:00 noon today we had so much traffic that a load balancer (a piece of equipment that connects our website to multiple data centers) crashed.  I am happy to say that this equipment has now been replaced and is working fine.  When this happened, our database server was taxed pretty hard which has created some performance issues on the site.

 At this point the majority of the database issues are under control and Blastoff sites are going live all over America – we expect to be back on all cylinders very soon.

 We have heard from a lot of you worrying that some people’s invites might be going out while other’s are not.  Because of this, the invites are being held until everyone’s site is back online.  You can go ahead and upload your contacts but they will not be sent until everyone’s site is up and running properly.  We are anticipating this happening by sometime later this evening.
